I think I found a secret to creating a bountiful garden. Chicken sh*t. Yep, two whole bags. I made my garden "patch" a little bigger this year, and when I made it twice as deep, I added the manure between layers of dirt. Ta-Da!
In the back row, I have five tomato plants. An Early Girl, and four Roma plants. The hanging basket to the left, holds a Tom Thumb cherry tomato plant. The front row holds three banana pepper and four summer squash plants.

First, let me say that I glad you are blogging again. I miss the pics/recipes/stories. Plus, I can catch up with you while I'm at work. :) I did find out yesterday, from the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, that shooting at birds is illegal. The bird we took in lasted all night and the next day until 11am. We got it there, the clinician picked it up, and it died in her hands. Can you believe it? She found a huge bebe in its wing, like from a bird shot/buck shot. I told her the story of my friend and her neighbor (this story) and she told me that it was illegal. You prob already know that, but I wanted to put that out there. Diva hugs!!
