...is the song I sang to Gracie, as I towel dried her after her bath on Sunday. She is so good about getting her baths - which we are smart enough to do outside - at least three times from spring to fall.
I was single when I got her, at 11 weeks old. I picked her out of a litter, on the floor of a truck, that someone was giving away. She was the quiet, shy female in the back. That should have been my first sign...
hehe. Does anyone remember their moms telling them "I hope you grow up and have kids
just like you". Believe me, I got
that in Gracie. She is sassy and stubborn, but the most loving dog. I named her Gracie because she was SO clumsy and uncoordinated as that new puppy, I figured the only was she would have any "grace", is if it was in her name. She will be 14 in December
(but I have made her promise that she will live forever).

Gracie's mother was full black lab, and the father was a 1/2 black lab and 1/2 "husky". The father's owner was the one finding homes for all the
accidental litter with the
neighbor's dog (mother). The father lived to 15+, so I am hoping she got some longevity genes. So, something in her coat makes her kink up when she is wet. Upon the suggestion of a dog groomer, I blew her dry-
backwards- this time, and it got a ton of extra hair out. She looked like a big fluffy bear the rest of the day. These pics were taken while she was still wet and
unbrushed.

The last pic is not of any purpose, just that I thought the moon was beautiful this week. It was full one of the nights (I think the night before this was taken), which explains the enhanced stupidity of people this week. While I
dont believe in the supernatural, I do kinda feel that there is probably
something to the theory of planetary alignments that affect peoples "sync". Of course, it
doesnt make
me stupid, only heightened to everyone else.............;)
Have a safe and happy weekend. Ohio State is in Michigan (State) this weekend - are you all crossing your fingers and toes? We've handled all of the other Big10 teams, so far, but these next two are gonna be tough! I have faith
