That's riiight! I finally got a picture of (what I will deem for now), the Mother-of-All-Yard-Decor.
I don't know how long this has been around - I just noticed it a few months ago. It is visible from a major highway in my county (161-W), but I never feel like hitting the brakes and jumping out on the berm for a picture is the safest thing to do (although a true phototog would strongly disagree). So while we had some time the other night, we diced around some country access roads...and got a shot. Just like with the Stump Bear and Flamingos (seen HERE), I kind of assume when you have something like this sitting in your front yard, you might expect people to stop in the road to get a picture.
And is it just me, or does this hippo NOT look very happy? I also see on the porch, a cement (ala goose) hippo statue. Hey, I am all about collecting, but maybe having a display the size of a propane tank in your front yard could be better thought out - I'm just sayin'

We also got two new tadpoles and some snails. Our frog has left - we hope only temporarily. He has been here four years, too (from a tadpole). Last week, he was super croaking, and then... a lady frog showed up. We haven't seen them since! The man at the pond store thinks he will be back...after he has had his fun. He said the frog wouldn't have stayed four years there if he didn't like it. I wonder what he will think of all the new additions when he returns?
Does anyone know where I can get a truck-sized frog for our front yard? (I bet all the bitchin' about the fence would stop).

Hahaha! Yes, I bet it would. Your fishies look very happy together. I guess there's a shortage of frogs in Ohio, so it's awesome that you have one in your pond (hope he comes back!)
That is one mean looking hippo. Perhaps one day I'll sneak some shots of my neighbors' yard decor. You know, trucks on cement blocks and piles of tires...the usual.
Maybe the hippo yard art followed you home and that it what left the piles of evidence? And you were blaming the poor little chipmunk.
The hippo could be worse. They could dress it in different outfits every day.
