Happy, Happy Birthday, Baby!
Uh, huh! and what a special birthday baby he is!!!! To be happy and healthy are all the granted wishes any of us could want, right? Saturday, we celebrated with dinner in Columbus, and last night I cooked his favorite dinner of Chicken Marsala, bow-tie pasta, lemon green beans, and MOST importantly, CAKE!
I call this the Chocolate Peanutbutter & Jelly cake. Is starts with a one layer 9x9 square yellow cake. I cut the square in half, then cut each half crosswise.
Then I brushed each layer with blackberry jam (thinned w/ a little water).
I then iced each layer with Chocolate Peanutbutter Buttercream icing, and started stacking...
...and kept stacking.
Mmmm!
