For all you other fans out there, can you see the latest change in the picture here? Steve recently read me a news article of his new hair color (or lack of it), then TJ appeared on The View last week - donning his silver locks. Way to keep it real! (I'm not ready to be that real yet)
Tom Jones isn't music I was raised on. When I was 18, I got the new Sony Walkman Cassette Player for Christmas - but had no cassettes. (wow, how antiquated does that sound?) So I popped in an unused cassette my parents had been given by a friend....to have this rich, velvety, sexy voice come oozing from my headphones. The love affair began - mainly for the music, but I wont deny TJ is also on my Top 5 List (you know, the list of normally unattainable people you would hook up with, without moral consequence, if you ever had a real life opportunity to do so - but don't, because what are the real chances that would happen anyway). Oh yeah, Steve is fully aware of "the list", and full enough of confidence to agree to its terms. Sorry, I digress...
How lucky am I that Steve is also a fan (although for completely different reasons) - and loves me enough to surprise me with this concert? Yes, I know!
This show was at The House of Blues, in Cleveland. The bottom level is an open standing-only music hall, with the few seats there, in a balcony. Steve, knowing I like the whole concept of having a seat, got our tickets in the balcony. How great were these? My photo disclaimer: the pictures AND video were taken without any flash, or light source.
He sang for 1-1/2 hrs + an encore....aaahhh.
The video below is some of the song You Can Leave Your Hat On (from the movie The Full Monty). I love the sounds of the crowd reaction around us.
Thanks for sharing my surprise, and hope you will see why I am such a fan!
**you can see some of the panties laying on the front edge of the stage**
And for my friend, Jen, who is also a big TJ fan (and having a shirt "pussycat" shirt), good luck with your surgery today!
