Hustle, Bustle

No pictures. This past week has been very busy, and I made myself stay on task! The payoff is that I got done - with 3 projects! I have been working on a 30 page scrapbook. Done. I have worked three days creating our Christmas cards. Done. Outdoor lights & spots. Done.

We made it through the first week of retirement! As I told my friend, "we made it to Friday and bail was not involved!" Unfortunately, Steve has been really sick this week. Yeah - that's retirement karma for ya'.

We have alot of charity shopping to do this week for Baskets of Life. Haircuts. Friends lunches. I really would like to get our Christmas trees and decorations up. After being at my mom's house, in all its Christmas glory, I hate to even put my stuff out. They had an Xmas party on Friday, and a photographer for our local paper asked if they could schedule a time to come back and get pictures for the holiday magazine next year. One of their trees has 2,490 lights on it! I'll try to get some snaps and put on here. Merry, Merry!

We got two inches of snow yesterday, and I think some more yucky stuff coming. Wherever you are, I hope the weather is kind to you. Have a nice week!

I almost forgot this story! Today I went clothes shopping with my mom. We were in the dressing rooms, and a man/husband was back there sitting on a bench, waiting on his wife! Not close to the doorway, but waaaay back in the room. This is a store that sells ONLY women's clothes (none for men, youth, or children). Isn't is assumed that the dressing rooms are for women only? When all the women, who filled their little rooms, found out he was there, they gave him a load of shit! Yes, me included. We all felt creepy having him in there, and unfortunately, the clerk who was back there with us, didn't automatically make him leave. The wild part is that he gave it right back to us! Can you EVEN believe that? In hindsight, I am sure his disgusting and profane reaction to our attack, was just that....a defensive response to an attack and embarrassment of being ousted by a bunch of women - instead of just being smart and walking out quietly. Of course, I don't think "smart" was on his resume. The clerk confessed later that "she would have to find out the store's policy on that". I imagine when I call the corporate offices tomorrow, they will make their policy clear to me.

I never fail to be amazed, and shocked, by people's inappropriateness.

So, did you get to talk to anyone from the store? What is their "policy"? Like not having a strange man be in the woman's dressing woman should have a policy. Common decency and not being retarded also elude his resume. We could have tagged team him if I was there. He would have definetely walked out crying for his Mommy!!
